Abstract

The Bernoulliborg is a large university building which consumes a lot of water. Projects are being worked on to reduce this usage. To achieve the maximum amount of reduction, the consumers themself have to be incorperated in this process. This can be done by making the users aware of their consumption behaviour. This thesis presents a system created to monitor and display water consumption in an effort to reduce water usage. In order to do this, an architecture has been formulated for extensive water monitoring systems. A prototype of this has been implemented to show its utility.
