Abstract

This report describes the absorption spectra of molecular aggregates, in which both excitonic and exciton-phonon interactions play a role. The case of a single molecule is solved analytically using the Franck-Condon principle and using the Lang-Firsov transformation. The two-particle approximation is introduced, and applied to the case of a pinwheel aggregate. The results are compared with the outcome by Spano [10,13]. Also, a comparison is made to the one-particle approximation for different excitonic and exciton-phonon couplings.
