Abstract

In this master thesis we investigate the possibilities of extending Cauchy's theorem to several complex variables. Most of the problems we meet during generalizing are of a topological nature. Local residues of a form $h/(f_1cdots f_n)dz$ over $cn{n}$ are defined as integrals over local cycles around the intersection points of $n$ hyperplanes $f_1=ldots=f_n=0$. In turns out that only cycles which are separable can be replaced as a sum of local cycles.
