Abstract

In 1859, Riemann published a paper about an estimate on the prime numbers. In this paper, he conjectured that all non real zeroes of the Riemann zeta function have real part equal to 1/2. This conjecture is known as the Riemann hypothesis. Another conjecture, named the Hilbert-Pólya conjecture, implies this hypothesis. We will look at a physical way of proving of the Hilbert-Pólya conjecture by using Hamiltonians obtained by quantizing dynamical systems.
