Abstract
The existence of permanent electrical dipole moments (EDMs) in fundamental particlesviolates parity and time reversal symmetries. In the Standard Model these EDMs are immeasurably small. Proposed Standard Model Extensions predict much larger values, meaning the observation of such an EDM would indicate the presence of New Physics. The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) experiments that may exhibit the influence of EDMs suffer from systematic effects at the required precision. In this thesis a numerical model is constructed which describes these NMR experiments, which includes these systematic effects, and which is validated using existing theory.
