Abstract

A novel wave energy converter has been introduced by the University of Groningen, designed to extracted wave energy from multiple wave profiles. Gathering experimental data on the floater blanket is necessary to attract potential investing parties. In this thesis, a series of experiments have been executed to determine the adaptability and efficiency of the prototype of the floater blanket. The results are comprehensively discussed and improvements on the current prototype are suggested
