Tripper is a spice manufacturing company that faces production obstacles, due to serious bacterial contamination of turmeric and ginger. In this first part of the thesis investigated is, what are the origins of this phenomenon, and improvement of the design of a test facility will be suggested to provide a better quality outcome. To come to this results, by means of the study of literature, interviews, field research, physical experiments and cost calculations. Four processing techniques were selected, of which three of them were newly designed or chosen.
