Abstract
In this paper, Maxwellian interpolation of a magnetic field in a cubic grid is performed. Our goal is to interpolate the magnetic field using the values of the three components of the magnetic field B at the grid points. We present a method for implementing the constraints that are implied by Maxwell’s equations in fits to measurements of the magnetic field on a regular grid. The method makes use of Harmonic Polynomials solutions of Laplace equation. The fitting problem is reduced to a least squares fit that makes it possible to find solutions with high precision. We illustrate the method by applying it to some magnetic field values simulated according to Maxwell’s equations.
