In order to address the location, morphology and brightness of star forming regions in z ∼ 1.5 AGN host galaxies, state-of-the-art ALMA observations (band 7, λ=1 mm) are combined with archival and new VLA observations (U/Ku-band, λ= 2 cm) to retrieve the thermal 40K dust emission signatures of star formation. This involved approximating cm-mm the spectral index by a scaling factor and subtracting the synchrotron component such that the thermal emission remained. Five 3C sources with high SFRs were selected for observation and analysis. Four out of five sources in the sample showed significant thermal contributions to the 1 mm emission, distributed in structures of various shapes, sizes and locations with respect to the AGN. Thermal residues were shown to contribute from 11% up to 53% of the total emission at 1 mm. This indicates ongoing star formation despite AGN activity, contrary to the scenario proposed by negative AGN feedback.
