Abstract
In this thesis, a proposed method of indirect measurement of the Unruh effect for circular accel- erations is investigated. The system pertaining to electrons in storage rings is well-understood, and the Sokolov-Ternov-predicted spin polarization will be explicitly derived. An attempt is then made at establishing an equivalence between the Sokolov-Ternov and Unruh effects, though due to time constraints the non-inertial analysis is incomplete and results inconclusive.
