Abstract

The Tree Builder Random Walk is a stochastic process where vertices are added to a tree according to the behavior of a random walk on said tree. For a specific case where a single vertex is added with probability p_n ≍ n^{−γ} , we state a result by Engländer et al, coupling the Tree Builder Random Walk with the Barabási-Albert preferential attachment model. Using the coupling and numerical methods, we analyze the asymptotic degree distribution of the tree for various values of γ.
