Abstract
In order to make phone calls we usually use two phones: one attached to a fixed line and one that is mobile. Fixed telephony has the advantage to be cheaper than mobile telephony. However, mobile telephony has the advantage of mobility. The purpose of fixed-mobile convergence is to combine the advantages of both fixed and mobile networks.
