Abstract
Friesland Foods Cheese is a cheese production organization that has its main office located in the Netherlands. The organization consists of 8 production and 5 packaging locations of which most are geographically dispersed in the north-eastern area of the Netherlands. Over the past 10 years Friesland Foods Cheese has been working on the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning system called SAP. After the implementation process was completed, Friesland Foods Cheese managers noticed that there were problems concerning the use of the system. On some business locations employees experience problems using the system. These problems differed from an employee not knowing how to operate the system during specific situations, or employees using system functions in ways they were not intended to be used. During this research a project was executed which aimed to solve this problem by answering the following question: How can Friesland Foods Cheese increase the performance of ERP related business processes and minimize ERP implementation discrepancies?
