Abstract

In this thesis the relativistic Kepler problem is discussed. The effective Hamiltonian of the Kepler problem is written in a post-Newtonian expansion. The transformations to get to the isotropic LRL, amplitude and PMOOSH gauges at first post-Newtonian order are given. It is shown that one can get to those isotropic gauges up to any arbitrary post-Newtonian order by using a canonical transformation.
