Abstract
Making a decision in a group is a difficult task. Opinions differ and a simple vote is often considered to be not satisfactory. Usually a group discuss different opinions and tries to make a consensus decision. What happens in a group? Does deliberation improve the quality of the decision? Professor Hartmann (University of Tilburg) used a group of simulated voters with each having a probability to make the correct decision and the ability to assess the vote of other voters. I will show that a neural network is suitable to simulate the phase of deliberation, too. The modifications to the regular perceptron algorithm will be discussed and the result of my work will be compared with Hartmann's result.
