Abstract
This report is on the effect of male density on precopulatory mate guarding timing in the two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae). Observations were conducted in which a varying amount of males (2-6) were placed in an arena with one female and guarding occurence and timing were observed and noted. No significant correlation between male density and guarding timing/occurrence were found, possibly due to limitations within the research setup.
